Do you ever just get in your car and just drive without any destination? The feeling of the open road can help clear our minds. The wind against our face and through our hair can feel therapeutic as well. Schedule one for yourself. Grab a buddy and drive for 1.5 hours out and 1.5 hours back. Get out of the city and into nature. or vise versa. Change your view.
Every single day we are given a chance to restart our "journey." We hear this all the time but what does it truly mean? It means, in every minute or second of the day, we have a choice. We can remain on a stressful path or we can take a second to move and breathe. By simple movements, you allow your muscles to bring in more oxygen which will allow your body to relax more. Life happens. Regardless of how well we plan or organize ourselves life's moments will alter our course. This can be curtailed. It only takes a second to re-group, second check a plan, or take a deep breathe. All of these can help settle a restless spirit, gain a new outlook or help you realize when you may have strayed off your desired course. Take a second and just breath in deeply through your nose. Now hold it for 10 seconds. Now exhale through the mouth with intent to empty the lungs of all used air. This will not only relax your mind, it can have positive effects on your state of mind and being. Who couldn't use more of that.
